Department of Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering department was established in the year 1963 and is manned by qualified faculty members. The infrastructure facilities in the department facilitate effective teaching-learning process. Sophisticated instruments are available in laboratories such as, microprocessor controlled UTM, Total Station, etc.

Students are being exposed to latest development in construction
technology and trained to overcome the practical difficulties. They are given hands-on training in Auto CAD software
related to Civil Engineering. Software such as ArcGIS and
ArcPAD are being used for the benefit of the students.
The department has prepared the detailed Project Report for the following schemes:
- Ring Road for Rajapalayam town
- Sewage Disposal System for Rajapalayam Municipality
- Total Station Survey work for new projects of RAMCO group of Industries
We undertake testing and consultancy services such as concrete
cube testing, brick testing, steel rod testing, etc. Apart from the
regular diploma programme, we train the recruits of Multinational
Companies such as ETA ASCON, Dubai and Voltas IOBG, Middle East in
construction related topics.
